FAMILY EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS AND PRIVACY ACT (FERPA)


Miami Regional University is committed to protecting students’ rights and privacy of information. The University complies with the provisions of the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), State of Florida law, and Florida State Department of Education. In accordance with U.S. Public Law 93-380, 20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99, students at Miami Regional University have the right to inspect their educational records and to correct such records if warranted. These records are protected from release of personally identifiable information without written consent from the student, except to the extent FERPA authorizes disclosure without consent.
