HEALTH CLEARANCE, VACCINATIONS, AND IMMUNIZATIONS

Students participating in certain programs will be required to provide verifiable documentation from a healthcare provider licensed in the State of Florida proving that the student has been immunized against certain communicable diseases. A student may also need to provide a statement from a licensed health care provider concerning the student’s physical and mental health. The student will bear all costs associated with these health clearance and immunization requirements; as such, costs are not covered in the student’s tuition. All nursing students are required to obtain an influenza vaccination annually. Failure to comply with the health clearance, vaccinations, and immunization policy by the required date may result in dismissal from the program. Students enrolled in the School of Nursing should review program specific handbook for additional information.
